As of 2016, Costco Disney World Tickets are no longer available. Despite tickets no longer being sold at Costco, buying through Park Savers is a great way to get the same offers and discounted pricing that you would at any Costco warehouse.
Disney World Tickets from Costco were a fantastic deal while they were offered. Some of the savings were up to per ticket. Guests could purchase the tickets online via Costcotravel.com and choose the type of tickets they wanted including Base tickets, Park Hopper tickets and Park Hopper Plus tickets.
Your tickets will be sent to you via email. They can either be printed off or simply shown from your phone at the gate. You do not need to stop by any box office for an exchange as these are e-tickets. This saves you a lot of time.
Once your tickets are linked to the app, guests may use the app to enter the parks simply by bringing up each ticket and letting the Cast Member scan it from your phone. This makes it easier than pulling out all the tickets. The Cast Member will confirm each ticket with the picture associated with it before allowing guests to enter the parks.
As of 2021, Disney Genie+ can now be purchased with your Disneyland tickets in advance to help you save time and money. To get started, select the type of tickets you want, whether they are 1 Park Per Day or Park Hopper, and look for the Disney Genie+ logo.
However, when they are selling discount Disneyland tickets, Costco requires guests to purchase a Disney vacation package. Tickets may not be purchased separately. Guests must buy a complete package, including a hotel and tickets for their Disneyland vacation. Generally, the packages include some extras as well such as free character dining or a Disney gift card. Guests will also receive lanyards, souvenir tickets, a collectible pin and button and a Magical Extras Saving Card.
Disneyland tickets at Costco started being sold in the warehouse in the early- to mid-2000s and could be found in the ticket and amusement park section of the store. Guests could also purchase the tickets online via Costco.com.
When the tickets were available in the past, they were often at an exclusive rate or included special gifts with them. At one point, a $50 Disney gift card would be received with the purchase of each 4-Day Park Hopper Costco Disneyland ticket.
What made the Costco tickets even better (outside of the savings, that is) is that Executive members could receive a 2% reward from the purchase, as well as an additional 2-4% on their Costco AMEX card. It was a lot of additional savings added to the purchase.
While these discount tickets were very popular, you did have to be a member to purchase them inside the warehouse or online. Once purchased though, they could be used by anyone in your group. A Costco photo ID was not required at the parks once purchased.
Today, Costco no longer offers Disneyland discount tickets. Costco instead provides their warehouse members with exclusive perks after buying their tickets directly from Disney. These include benefits like a $245 Disney gift card, a collectible pin and lanyard and a voucher for Magical Extras Savings.
Outside of your ticket options, there are also certain seasons that you may want to purchase your tickets during. We always offer discounts on your Disneyland tickets, but special promotions and sales are run during certain times of the year. Typically, Disney will raise their prices towards the end of February. So, if you want to purchase at a cheaper price, buy January through mid-February for the rest of that year. Even if you are going to Disneyland in November, you can still buy those tickets in January.
Many things have changed since the Covid-19 pandemic and Costco selling Disneyland tickets is one of those changes. In the past, you used to be able to get a pretty decent deal on Disneyland tickets at Costco, but not anymore.
Costco no longer sells tickets. In fact, you can't even get Disney gift cards at Costco. Fear not, there are ways to get Disneyland tickets on sale even though Costco no longer offers them. In fact, you can look right to Costco's direct competitor, Sam's Club, for an option. First off, if you're not a Sam's Club member, you'll want to take advantage of the offer for new members (get a $45 gift card when you sign up).
You cannot buy Disneyland tickets at Sam's Club, either. But what you can buy are Disney gift cards. You can buy them in bulk for a discount, too. So, you'll want to estimate your Disneyland ticket cost and buy the right gift card amount, and then use that gift card to purchase your Disneyland tickets. For example, you'll need to buy at least $100 in Disney gift cards if you plan to go even just for one day, as costs start at $104/day and go up to $165/day for single-day tickets. You can get a $500 Disney gift card for $485 at Sam's Club. It is obviously not a massive discount, but it is still a discount, nonetheless.
Even if you don't want to buy gift cards to use to purchase your park tickets, you'll want to take advantage of getting them on sale at Sam's Club because you can use Disney gift cards on your vacation in the parks on dining and while shopping for souvenirs. If you are traveling to Disney in a few months, you should snag a few discounted Disney cards every other paycheck and stash them away. When you're going to Disney, you can merge all of your collected gift cards into one online before you travel.
If you don't belong to Sam's Club or don't want a bunch of gift cards, but you are a Target Red Card holder, you can buy Disneyland tickets for 5% off at Target. Again, not the biggest discount, but it still is something.
You can still save money at the Disneyland Resort with discount park tickets even as the resort opens brand new attractions like Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway and celebrates the 100th anniversary of The Walt Disney Company with a new fireworks, fountain show, and parade.
The most seasoned Disneyland goers know that you can always save money on cheaper multi-day tickets. We work with Disney's oldest travel partner to get exclusive and special discounts for our readers.
In this guide we have broken down the best discount ticket options including comparisons of AAA discounts, Costco tickets, DVC discounts, and more into an easy to use list so that you will save money at Disneyland.
In order to reach every market throughout the United States and to increase their marketing power, Disneyland partners with outside companies and allows them to resell their park tickets at a special rate.
I work with Get Away Today, the largest of these Disney partners, and negotiated an even lower rate on park tickets exclusively for my readers. The team at Get Away Today values all that we provide for our readers so they have committed to offering the literal lowest prices on multi-day tickets publicly available ANYWHERE!
Their company is top rated and they have worked with Disney for over 30 years helping millions of people to save money. Over the last four years they have helped thousands of our readers too and now they want to help you save money with their special promotions. Another reason to book with a travel reseller right now is that they are far more concerned about making sure that you have a great experience than Disney is right now. Disney call centers still have high call volumes and wait times. When you work with Get Away Today for tickets they are there to help you make sure your trip is perfect.
One of my favorite things about Get Away Today is the layaway option. With just $175 down, you can put your entire vacation on layaway including your special discount tickets and hotel! This is such a great way to make a Disneyland Resort trip accessible for families. The layaway plan does include a $75 non-refundable fee but I have found it is totally worth it so I can have the flexibility to make payments on my trip.
You have the option of combining your park tickets to Disneyland and Universal Studios Hollywood to save even more money. Our travel partner, Get Away Today, offers special discounts on combination park tickets that allow you visit the Disneyland Resort for two/three/four days and Universal Studios for one day! They offer discounts on one day Universal Studios ticket option as well.
Even if you don't live in Southern California, purchasing an annual pass might be a good idea if you plan on visiting the Disneyland Resort for more than seven days in one year. You will save money on your park tickets and annual passes also provide discounts on food and merchandise. The amount of discounts depends on the level of pass you purchase but even the cheapest passes give you a 10% discount. So when considering if you should purchase an annual pass, factor in the savings for food and merchandise to make your decision.
You may purchase discount park tickets for guests who do not fall into the category as long as you are with them when they enter the park. Disney Cast Members are supposed to check ID at the front gate for all military tickets.
Disneyland doesn't offer official discount tickets for firefighters and law enforcement but cheap tickets may be available if you contact your union. Many unions all along the West Coast have access to cheap Disneyland Resort tickets.
AAA Disneyland tickets used to provide a great savings on tickets. We used to purchase discounted 2-Day, 3-Day, 4-Day and 5-Day Disneyland tickets from AAA. The AAA Disneyland discounts have largely gone away in recent years as Disney has cut back on which companies they work with to sell tickets. The Disneyland tickets AAA prices are typically not better than the prices offered by our travel partner, Get Away Today.
You can check out the AAA website or call a local branch for information on Disneyland tickets AAA. The amount of the discount depends on the length of the ticket- longer length tickets will get larger discounts. AAA members can save from $8-$14 per Disneyland ticket depending on the length of the ticket. These AAA Disneyland ticket prices are still not as low as the discounts offered through other Disneyland ticket resellers. 59ce067264
